Coach Steve Tayor on Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational:
“It was a good night for us including a season best for Meaghan McGovern and personal bests for Tim Quinn, Jenn Ennis and Erin Lunny. Tim’s effort in the 5K will be close to getting him into the NCAA Regional Championships…Erin ran extremely well, especially considering she had surgery on her knee roughly 6 weeks ago...Jenn raced really well and was aggressive throughout the race...Meaghan's effort is a season best in the hammer throw and was a great performance especially given the adversity of arriving at the competition after warm-ups had ended. We thought we had more time but we got a call on the way to the competition that the men finished in 25 minutes and the women's elite group was warming up. Then...we hit every red light...She overcame the lack of warm-up and handled herself really well under much less than ideal preparation and absolutely no warm-up at all. We are proud of their efforts,”
