The women placed 6th and the men 22nd at the meet hosted by the University of Maryland.

Results

After a full day in Landover, Md., the Spiders traveled back to Richmond on Saturday evening, celebrating individual success and reflecting on how the team with prepare for next weekend's invitational.

The Terrapin Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland, took place at the Field House of the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. The complex held 31 teams for the event, including Maryland, Hampton, Howard, American to name a few.

"I was happy to see many of our younger athletes compete for the first time this winter," said men's head coach Steve Taylor. "The best performance of the day was Tremayne Graham's 60m dash race. Both he and Michael Parker ran well in their first indoor meet, and several of our men competed well - they are just not sharp since it's their first meet."

Senior football standout Tremayne Graham qualified for the men's 60m dash with eighth-place and a time of 7.09. He then finished .02 hundreths of a second faster in the finals (7.07), but placing 10th overall. Graham's time missed the Richmond 60m dash record by 0.13...
