Richmond's Nicol Traynor 11th in 2011 NCAA Championships 3K Steeplechase Final

Richmond's Nicol Traynor became the 4th Spider to earn All-America honors at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Traynor ran 10:02.15 in the 3K steeplechase semi-final placing 2nd in her heat to advance to finals.  Here she is shown on her way to an 11th place finish in the final of the event held on the last day of the NCAA Championships. Joining Traynor on the All-America honors were teammates Andrew Benford (15th-3KSC), Heather Roush (14th-Javelin) and Amy Van Alstine (14th-5K). DES MOINES, Iowa - Redshirt junior Nicol Traynor placed 11th in Saturday's championship final of the 3,000m steeplechase as action at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship concluded Saturday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
