BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Richmond cross country teams competed in their third meet of the season on Friday at the Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. In a loaded field of 45 squads on both sides, the Spider men combined for a 35th-place finish and the women took 23rd in the race. Oklahoma and Providence topped the field in the men's and women's races, respectively.

"We had a rough day and did not get out as well as needed," said men's head coach Steve Taylor. "This was especially true in a race like this. There are several places we must improve to compete at the level we expect. In the coming weeks we'll address those areas and get back to competing like Richmond Spiders."
