UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Richmond track & field freshman Dana Guglielmo has been honored as the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after finishing second overall in the 3,000m steeplechase at the prestigious Colonial Relays Friday in Williamsburg, Va.
The native of Basking Ridge, N.J., Guglielmo was clocked at the 10:44.72 in the steeple, which stands as the fastest time by a freshmen in the NCAA this season (20th-fastest overall) and ranks second all-time at Richmond.
Guglielmo was also honored as the A-10 Rookie of the Week for outdoor track & field on March 23 following her open 3K win at GMU, and garnered similar honors during the indoor season on February 25.
The Spiders are back in action this weekend (April 10) at the Lou Onesty Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia.
